Office and commercial cleanouts · Columbus, OH

Office cleanouts in Columbus, finished before your lease ends.

Most leases want the space broom-clean on the last day, and holdover rent starts the day after. The crew breaks down the workstations, clears the suite floor by floor, and works nights or weekends when the building requires it.

What you hand back

An empty suite, swept, ready for the walkthrough.

Carpet indentations where the desks were, nothing on the floor, nothing left in the storage room, and no pile by the dock waiting for somebody else to deal with.

That's the condition most leases describe and most building managers check for. Anything short of it usually comes out of a deposit.

What comes out

Whole suites, or the pieces you're replacing.

  • Cubicle systems, panels and worksurfaces, broken down on site
  • Desks, conference tables, credenzas, reception counters
  • Task chairs, side chairs, sofas, lounge furniture
  • Lateral and vertical files, lockers, bookcases, shelving

Technology and equipment

  • Monitors, desktops, printers, copiers, servers and racks
  • Phones, cabling, network gear, UPS units
  • Break room refrigerators, microwaves, water coolers
  • Vending equipment and appliances

Retail and restaurant

  • Display fixtures, gondola shelving, racks, mannequins
  • Signage hardware and store fittings
  • Prep tables, coolers, dining furniture
  • Back-of-house shelving and equipment

Warehouse and industrial

  • Pallets, packaging, dunnage, banding
  • Dead stock and returns
  • Scrap metal and old machinery
On records and drives: pull anything sensitive before the day, or tell us what to set aside and it gets staged for you instead of loaded. The crew hauls, it doesn't destroy data.
How it works

Walkthrough, scope, schedule, done.

01

Send the space

Square footage, floor, workstation count, and the date it has to be clear. A floor plan or a walking video covers most of it.

02

Get the scope and the price

Larger suites get walked first. What's included comes back in writing before anything is scheduled.

03

Book the building

Dock times, elevator reservations and the insurance certificate go in ahead of the day, so the crew isn't turned away at the loading door.

04

Clear and sweep

Floor by floor, and the space gets handed back broom-clean for the walkthrough.

Building requirements

The parts property managers care about.

  • Certificate of insurance

Most downtown buildings want one on file before a crew badges in. Send the certificate holder details with your request and it goes over ahead of the date.

  • After-hours and weekends

Buildings along Broad and High schedule the freight elevator and the dock, and most of this work happens outside business hours. The office parks around Easton, Polaris and Dublin are usually dock-loaded and easier to book.

  • Floor and elevator protection

Corner guards and floor protection where the building requires them, so the deposit conversation stays about the suite and not the lobby.

  • Phased work

If you're still operating in part of the space, the clear-out runs in sections. Nobody works around a stack of panels for a week.

Where it goes

Furniture reused, electronics recycled, metal scrapped.

Office furniture in usable shape goes to local nonprofits and schools when there's somewhere to take it. Electronics go to e-waste recycling rather than the landfill, and steel files, racking and shelving go to scrap.

What's left goes to the transfer station. If your company needs the diversion documented for a sustainability report, ask for it up front rather than after the trucks have gone.

Budget and scope

Where the cost comes from.

Volume first, then how hard the building makes it. A ground-floor suite with a dock costs less to clear than the same suite on nine with one freight elevator and a two-hour window.

Disassembly time matters too, since cubicle systems come apart panel by panel. All of it is quoted before the crew is scheduled, and after-hours work is priced into the number rather than added afterward.

Included on every job: labor, disassembly, hauling, disposal, and a broom-clean finish.

Common questions

Office cleanout FAQ.

Can you work after hours or on a weekend?

Yes, and for most downtown buildings that's the only way it happens. Tell us the building's rules and the crew works to them.

Do you carry insurance my property manager will accept?

Our crew carries $2 million in liability coverage. Send the certificate holder details with your request and the certificate goes to the building before the day.

Can you break down cubicles?

Yes. Panels, worksurfaces, pedestals and hardware come apart on site, so you're not disassembling a system before we arrive.

What happens to the computers and monitors?

They go to electronics recycling. Pull the drives you care about first, or tell us and they'll be set aside for you.

We're still working in half the space. Can you do this in phases?

Yes. Phased clear-outs are normal, especially for consolidations. Say which areas are live and when they free up.

Can you handle more than one floor, or more than one location?

Yes. Multi-floor suites and multi-site closures are quoted as one job with a schedule attached.

How much notice do you need?

Less than most people expect. The building's dock and elevator calendar is usually the real constraint. If you're up against a lease end, call rather than fill out the form.
